New York Block by Block (Signed Copy)

I wish that I had would’ve found this before my first trip in 2020. My NJ born husband was great, but this would have been an asset to have as well. Now that I have been to the city several times and live in NJ, I will use it, but also want to know about what places Shoppy McShopperson’s wants in a book or wants us to know about.

It was a gift for a friend relocating to New York City. She said she loved it.

It's an interesting read. But not for anyone having prior knowledge of NYC. Too cumbersome to carry around. It's ok, but just ok.

This book seemed so cute online, but the size is tiny-tiny. The print is much smaller than it looks in the photos. If it were just a few inches bigger it would make a much more significant contribution than what looks more like a stocking stuffer than a main gift

Absolutely love the quality and presentation of this book, very detailed. However, as time goes on, quite a few companies mentioned have since closed down which is a shame. If I could give half stars I would of given this a 3.5.

So whimsical and adorably made. Love that there are others of different cities so you can make an elegant set perfect for displaying on a coffee table or at a bar.

Nice idea for a book but the "New York by Food" part is too big for my taste, I don't visit NY mainly for eating, I would have liked to read more about interesting sights off the beaten track.

I like how easy to read this book yet detailed with every shop or place block by block in New York. It might be a traveler guide now but a history book on the future that documents every block in the big apple

This is an interesting guide. It’s a very quick glimpse on a way to read recommendations. There are addresses and business names flooding this book. Then what I like is under each business, there is a little recommendation on maybe food to try or some popular facts about the spot. I would say that it’s definitely a user-friendly way of attacking a travel book. It’s a helpful book that really covers everything from food to sightseeing. It’s quite a unique way to write a travel book and I find it less tedious to flip through and read. I would definitely recommend this as it’s a user-friendly type of guide. If you want to know more or dig deeper into a spot or restaurant, you have the name and address you can always hit the web for that information.

The hard cover is embossed and makes for a perfect coffee table book or a colorful addition to your bookshelf.I absolutely recommend this book, it's charming and interesting! Have fun reading and discovering the places illustrated by this book in real-life, too!

I'm originally from NY city so I was so excited to see a modern travel guide to see what I have missed out these last years. I love how the book goes over many places to visit and what they offer, though it does seem to lack what I hoped it included.. some history of the city or the places it tells you to visit. Each page does have a lot of lovely art with a map showing locations and businesses, as well as the little icons for the places themselves. Honestly, I think this book would have been better as an App that can get updates/changes if any of the places change anything or go out of business. I love it but I feel it can get dated easily.

I got this for my daughter, she's been earmarking pages as she goes through it. I like the idea and can't wait to go with her, hopefully next year.

Super cute book, I got it even though I've lived here for over 10 years I sometimes find myself needing a bit of direction for the things the city has to offer.

This book is amazing since the restaurants seem up to date. It’s got any cuisine you might need, and attractions are included as well. It’s a great way to read if you are traveling to New York City. It’s got tons of tourist spots but also some local spots as well.

I see this as a cute book to display or as a gift for someone planning a trip. The illustrations are lovely! I feel like some areas (like Midtown) could have been split up more. The book also what I recognized as a few different chains, which I didn't expect. The holiday section was a little lacking, as well. I'm not a native but have certainly spent time in New York in December and know there is a lot more that could have been included. Overall, I think it's very well-done. It's not the most detailed book, but a good primer for options around the city.

This is one of a hand full of books in a small display stack in my office and it's become quite the conversation piece for visitors in the office looking to explore the area. In time it will become out dated, no doubt, but it's got a great aesthetic too it that presents well in modern and formal spaces.

I have a very niche interest in books that have illustrated maps and provide education or travel tips. This book is literally perfect. I have never been to New York before but have been looking forward to it as my dream for years now. I definitely will be taking this book on my trip as my guide.The book is well designed, well illustrated, and high quality material (cover and pages). I’m very happy with this book.

This is a small size but high quality hardcover book. It is delightfully illustrated and fun to look through. It is whimsical in nature rather than being a comprehensive travel guide, although it does give a brief description & address of each place mentioned. It would make a great gift for someone traveling to NY or for anyone that's interested in NY.I always like to look through books like this (for my own city) to see if they have similar picks to mine and just to see if there's something new for me to discover. But it wouldn't serve as an all encompassing travel guide for someone new to the city ... but rather as a charming addition to other reading material. ~ Fun stocking stuffer or gift for Christmas!

Love the author's illustrations and reviews of so many places of interest in the area. Super cute and works just as well as a decorative accessory as it does a handy pocket guide.Really enjoyed this book!
