Not as informative as i wanted

Excellent way to see where everything is in London.

This book DOES give helpful tips and fun suggestions from a local perspective. What I love most about it is the beautiful illustrations. I did purchase a more ‘robust’ guidebook to further dig in to the author’s suggestions. That said, the other book will end up in a drawer or a donation box, easily replaced by the next annual edition. London, Block by Block, however, will go on my bookshelf as a charming reminder of my first trip to London. All of the Block by Block series books make wonderful gifts, as well!!

I really wanted to love this book but sadly I did not. For me, it just wasn't helpful. Everything listed by category is great, however, when your traveling and you have to look up every address to see if it's even near you in not great! A map showing where the location are at or locations grouped together would be much more helpful to someone that does not know the city.

Love this series and ordered a few of them- they look so cute with all the cities and their hidden gems detailed inside. Love the size and illustrations. Highly recommend as a gift!

This London guide book is amazing!The illustrations are beautiful, there are sooo many addresses I checked and will definitely visit one day (I am not from the UK)!I loved that this guide was written following different categories, so that anyone who wants to visit London can find something cool to do (museums, bookshops, pastries/bakeries, markets...)I am really happy I've found this gem, and will definitely keep in mind the addresses I've highlighted, for my future visits to London!

Pretty book. Information is simple & basic. Would make a nice gift.

This guide is written for anyone who already knows London pretty well. I don't think it will age well.Cute illustrations.

Excellent references in a many areas of London

Beautiful book. Well made, excellent paper and binding. Marvellous illustrations. TOTALLY USELESS. No usable maps, no index. No area relatable information. Just lists of random places with addresses connected only by interests like "pastry", "hot chocolate", etc. You better already know where you are going, because the order of locations is totally off the chart (lists St Paul's and the Tower of London as "South Bank"). Pretty book, but NOT a guide. (Pity. I had such high hopes.)

Not much more than just lists; were I in London, it would be handy. However, as an armchair traveler much of the time, I was looking for more detail, especially where the historic places of interest are concerned. I will shelve it and hope that someday I have occasion to slip it into my backpack!

Just know that there are no maps, only vague pictures painted by the author that won't help you get anywhere. There are no "block by block" descriptions, only lists of the author's preferences with a one or two sentence description.

Such a cute little celebration of London! Always loved exploring the famous city and this has me excited for my next visit. Unfortunately a couple of the corners were crushed when shipped

A fun, well illustrated trip through London.

Bought this for a friend traveling to London for the first time. It's a small book, but has a ton of recommendations covering all of London including beautiful illustrations. Thinking of getting one for myself for when I travel there.

Great book for those who love London. A little disappointed as the outside had marks on as it was meant to be a gift.

This thing is wafer-thin as to content, NOT a guide to blocks or neighborhoods just to shops and not even a good guide at that. And zero provenance, just a batch of personal opinions. Complete waste of money.

I wanted to love this book, but as soon as I opened it on Kindle, I hated it. I have reloaded this book several times now. I’ve removed it from the device closed the app added the book back on to no avail. This is what each and every page looks like and of course I can’t get Amazon to help get it fixed. Very frustrating!

There are so many fun cultural seasonal tidbits and wonderful ideas and themes of areas and places! We used it and had such a great time checking out the bakeries and cheese shops! I love the illustrations and the writing is an absolute delight! I can't wait for my next trip!

I've followed Cierra on Instagram for quite some time and was so thrilled she came out with a book ahead of a trip with family to London. The way the book is organized and designed and is so perfect - so many great recommendations (many I had never heard of!) and illustrated in a wonderful & timeless manner was the cherry on top!
