Simon and Jen of The September Chronicles capture the beauty in the everyday. From quaint village tea shops to everyday London life their photographs show the beauty in the details of life. In this London Conversation they share some of their favourite pieces of London, from autumnal walks to quirky museums, get ready to be inspired. How would you spend a free Saturday in London?Every good Saturday starts with Brunch! Followed by a good long wander around to walk off the calories. Along the way we'd stop in at a cosy cafe to refuel with coffee / tea and pastries. By the afternoon you'll most likely find us in our garden with a good book, planning a dinner date in town for later on.Current favourite Local cafe/restaurant/or shop? We've got two favourite restaurants at the moment; Luca in Clerkenwell and the Italian Greyhound in Marylebone. Guess we must be craving a trip to Italy! Is there a hidden gem you’re willing to share with us?"Kiss the Koala" in Muswell Hill is a little out of the way but one of the best brunch /coffee spots we've discovered lately. Also "Jen's Cafe" (great name!) in Chinatown, they have the best priced dumplings if you are after a quick and easy lunch.Favourite autumnal walk in London? We love walking around our neighbourhood of Hampstead in Autumn. The colourful leaves and grey skies suit this lovely corner of London so well! The Heath is a beautiful walk anytime of year but especially when it's filled with Autumnal reds and oranges.Where is your favourite place to day trip from London? We haven't done too many daytrips lately but we fell in love with the Cotswolds a few years ago and will always take any chance to return! Cambride and Oxford are also easy to get to and have some great sights.Favourite market to wander through?Spitalfields is an old favourite. There are some great food options there and it doesn't tend to get as crowded as London's other more well known markets. (Plus the streets around the market are extremely photographic)Favourite museum to explore? We've actually just recently visited the Sir John Soane museum in Holborn and it won us over with its quirkiness and beautiful architecture. We'd love to go back and explore again.Do you have a favourite movie or book set in London? We're always happy to sit down and rewatch rom coms "About Time" or "Notting Hill", they are both great films on top of giving you the chance to glimpse London in the background. What is a classic London thing that you’ve never done?Even though we have been meaning to for years, we have never done the tour of Tower Bridge or been inside The Shard. Hopefully we can cross them off our 'London Bucket List' one day soon!
