London is full of quaint walks and charming corners. Recently I have been loving the walk from Warwick Avenue to Camden Market. The path follows Regents Canal and you get lovely views of boats and houses as you wind your way from start to finish. There are so many delicious restaurants and cafes at either end of the walk that no matter where you start and finish you can always get something delicious to eat!The walk is just over two miles and very family friendly. You can easily take your bike or a pram and the path is fully paved. This walk is part of the Jubilee Greenway and there are metal markers through out the walk you can easily follow. I always start this walk near Warwick Ave, always sure to stop by Formosa Street which is home to The Brimful Store and Formosa Flowers Chocolaterie. This area is full of lovely restaurants and cafe's. My favourites are:Clifton Nurseries - This garden center/cafe is a truly hidden gem. Tucked between two houses is is very easy to walk right past the entrance. Following the entrance garden path leads you to a plant oasis and charming cafe. The cafe serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and afternoon tea. The Summer House - Situated around the corner from Clifton Nurseries and right on the canal, this restaurant has a charming ambiance. The water themed decor will make you feel like you are not in London as you sit looking out onto the canal. Cafe Laville - Located over Regents Canal Cafe Laville also offers picturesque canal views. Watch the boats come and go as you enjoy your meal. One of the reasons I love this walk is I love seeing all the canal boats and the different scenery throughout every segment of the walk. When you are walking through Regent’s Park be sure to admire the manor homes with the beautifully manicured gardens and as you get closer to ZSL London Zoo keep an eye out for birds and animals. You can sense when you are getting closer to Camden as the vibe changes. You will see artists selling their art, musicians busking, and murals and graffiti adorning the walls. The path leads right into Camden Lock which is the home of KERB Camden. A foodie mecca with over 30 stalls selling every type of food that you can imagine. There are so many great places shop and eat here including Chin Chin Ice Cream and Marine Ices. Camden Market is a very popular tourist destination so it if often quite crowded. If you are looking for something a little more quiet if you turn off the path at Primrose Hill. Here you will find charming pubs and restaurants, and even though it is only a few minutes away from Camden it feels like a world apart. My favourite places to go are:The Engineer- This is a charming pub. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Primrose Bakery - Take your cupcake to go and sit in Chalcot Square. Every house around the garden is painted a different colour and they are all amazing. If you get your cupcake takeaway you can even sit in the garden and enjoy the rainbow houses while potentially eating a rainbow cupcake! Here is a map with my favourite places pinned. I hope you enjoy this walk as much as I do!
