Notting Hill Desserts

Notting Hill Desserts

Famous for its colourful streets and lively market Notting Hill is a big hit with tourists and locals alike. The streets are lined with boutiques, restaurants, cafes, shops, and more than a few places to grab yummy desserts. Here are fifteen of my favourite places to stop for a treat in Notting Hill along with my recommendation of what to try. Four Winters- The seasonal combinations of ice cream here are so fun. Pumpkin harvest in the fall, peach crumble in the summer, and birthday cake ice cream for your everyday dessert needs. Fabrique Bakery- Get a cardamon bun or a vanilla bun, and maybe a cinnamon bun just for good measure. Doughnut Time- The names of the doughnuts here are so great  and you can't go wrong with any of them. Biscutters- Darling and delicious biscuits for all occasions. The shop is so cute you won’t be able to pass it without going inside. Fun fact I told my family I was pregnant with biscuits from here.Gelateria 3Bis-  This is the London outpost of an Italian original. I'm a sucker for chocolate and pistachio and I always say yes to a sprinkle cone. Gails- This charming little chain bakery has the best cinnamon buns and hot cocoa as well as scrumptious cakes and cookies. Ottolenghi- Caramel and macadamia nut cheesecake and meringues as big as your head. You honestly can’t go wrong with any of the desserts here, and to curb a sugar overload take home a box of their salads for good measure. Melt- Luxurious smooth chocolate with interesting flavours that will make you happy. I love their hot chocolate squares but you really have to pop in and see what their chocolatieres have made for the day. Unico- No matter which location you go to the Due torri, salted caramel, or vegan dark chocolate are all delicious.Amorino- If you want to eat gelato that is scooped to look like a flower, and let’s be honest who doesn’t, then you need to stop here. Their flavours are your standard fare, but the presentation is top notch. Don’t forget to get a macaroon on top. The Hummingbird Bakery- Red velvet cupcakes, or if you are in need of a whole cake get their rainbow one. Andina Bakery- Peruvian bakery with the best goodies. I’m partial to the Dona Pepa and the Alfajores. Artisan du Chocolat- Tasty chocolates with delicious seasonal offerings. Snowflake- Delicious gelato in the summer, decadent hot chocolate in the winter. Win win. Kensington Palace- If you’re looking for a charming place to have tea, or quick bite there are two options at Kensington Palace. The Pavilion for a more leisurely tea or lunch, or the Cafe in the palace for a quick cuppa and a slice of cake. How many of these places have you been to? I’d love to know what your favourite is. Are there any great places I missed?
