Cycling in London

My favourite way to get around these days is by bike. Since lockdown I have explored London on leisurely rides with my daughter in tow, on stress reducing rides trying to quell my anxiety, rides to drop off food for friends, and rides with friends who I hadn't seen in months. ⁣I especially love riding to the post office to drop off all your orders! Riding bikes in London during the spring is the absolute best for this.⁣Here is a little round-up of some of my favourite places to cycle in London.⁣⁣Regent's Park- We cycle here all the time for visits to the zoo, picnics with friends, running around the gardens, or just enjoying a leisurely ride. ⁣⁣Hyde Park- I love cycling past Kensington Palace or across the bridge of the serpentine. ⁣There’s so much history within the park and wildlife to see, and cycling is the best way to do that.⁣Richmond Park- Wild fields, local deer, wildflowers, cycling here feels like you are a world away from London. ⁣If you can go early in the morning the low fog creates a beautiful haze over the park.⁣Thames Path- The perfect route for sightseeing! You could bike all the way from Kew Gardens to Greenwich and see almost every major London Landmark. ⁣⁣If you’re feeling really ambitious you can cycle the entire length of the path for 294 Km!⁣Wandle Trail- A long route that takes you from central London to Croydon following the path of the river Wandle. There are parks and cute cafes along the way through some of the pretty villages as well as greenery and wildlife. ⁣Your Local Neighbourhood- 95% of the bike rides I take are in my neighbourhood. Usually cycling to the park with my toddler, the bakery for some bread or a treat, or the post office to drop off orders. ⁣Just take a minute to explore the area you live in!⁣I'd love to know, where do you like to cycle? ⁣
